Pakistan's Glaciers

Pakistan is a country in which they are many large and small size glaciers. These glaciers are located in the northern mountain ranges of Karakorum  Himalaya and Hindukush. These glaciers are also biggest in masses and collection of ice. Mostly Glaciers are located in Karakorum Range and followed by Himalaya and Hindukush. These Glaciers cover approximately area of 17000 square kilometers. The total length of Karakorum glacier is above 6160 square kilometers. According to estimation around 37% area of Karakorum is covered with glaciated ice. These areas include Siachen glaciers, Biafo, Balatoro and etc.

Siachen Glacier
Siachen glacier is World 2nd Longest glaciers of the world. It has length of 75 kilometers. It is located in eastern Karakoram Range along with the disputed India-Pakistan line of Control. It is the longest glacier of Karakoram Region and 2nd longest of the world outside the polar Regions. There weather is very cold. Every year thousands of people come there to view the beautiful glaciers.

Biafo Glacier
It is World third longest glacier also found in the Karakoram region. It has length of 63 kilometers. Biafo glacier meets the Hispar glacier at the famous snow lake at height of 5,128 meters, creating longest glaciated ice highway between shigar and nagar valley in Gilgit baltistan. These glaciers are very important for Pakistan because they provide fresh water and also used in developing energy.

Balatoro Glaciers

It is located in Gilgit Baltistan. It has 62 kilometer length. Balatoro glacier lies to the north and east of the glaciers. While the Masherbrum Mountains lie to the south. At 8,611 meter K2 is the highest mountain in the region. This glacier gives to Shigar River which is a tributary of the Indus River. The trough of this glacier is very wide. Small valley glaciers form icefalls where they meet the trunk glacier. This Glacier serves as a natural regulator of regional water supplies.

These glaciers of Pakistan are enormous reservoirs of fresh water resources and their gradual melting feed more then 60 percent large and small rivers in Pakistan. These are also provides the tourists to Pakistan. There lot of tourists came here from different countries for hiking and seeing these beautiful places of Pakistan.

The awakened youth

The real strength of Pakistan is its youth. The Pakistani youth has firmly taken up the future of this country in their hands. The youth of today is active, ambitious, determined and well-equipped with the right skills that help redefine the future of this country.
The youth today is far more aware of its rights and duties than it was a decade before.
Today, the Pakistani youth can be seen in every stream of life. Be it education, health, civil society; they are enthusiastically working and volunteering to create a better future for this country.
I know many of the students from my university, Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), who run small non-governmental organisations (NGOs), that center around providing education within their communities. These young students are passionate to volunteer, be it at the cost of lucrative job prospects, for the betterment of our country. This may not be much but we all know that every little helping hand can make a cumulative difference to our country and its people.
I feel it is important to mention step up Pakistan founder Ali Moeen Nawazish, who is Pakistan’s world record holder and a Cambridge graduate. Graduating from one of the world’s top universities, he could have landed a job that offered him all the comforts and privileges of life. Instead, he traded all the potential luxury for a philanthropic path with utmost dedication towards running an NGO that works to promote education in some of the obscure towns where people are rarely able to educate themselves.
What stands out from these instances is that there is more to Pakistan than terrorism, domestic violence, corrupt leaders and a failing infrastructure.
For me, these stories are not only fascinating, but an indication that when there prevails commitment to social change, then change itself becomes a possibility.

Mohenjo-daro:-

It is an archaeological site situated in the province of Sindh. Built around 2600 B.C. The city was one of the early urban settlements in the world, existing at the same time as the civilizations of ancient Egypt. The people of Mohenjo-Daro lived in mud and baked bricks buildings that had as many as three floors. The city and streets were particularly organized. The city had many drinking water wells, and also had drainage system. Every house of the city has equipped with latrines, bathing houses and sewage drains which emptied into larger main sewage drains.

Archaeologists have found many things in this city which includes seals and jewelry. These places are the heritage of Pakistan. So Pakistan government should protect that old civilization of Pakistan. This is another view of Pakistan that shows the true image of Pakistan.

"What we see generally depends upon what we look for ".If a glass is half empty ,its also half filled that's the other prescriptive . It all depends upon how we see the things. Its wired why there is general perspective of negativity among the people of Pakistan .The 7th nuclear power , naturally God gifted country, has faced brutality , feudalism , colonialism and corruption  but things are changing now  despite the diversity of culture we are progressing towards we civilized democratic state .We are now 46th economically stabilized country in the world.

Military dictators has damage a lot to the country but it was for the first time in 2007 someone took stand against a dictator, today he and his party are on the verge of destruction.First time in Pakistan history democratic government passed 5 years although there were many faults in it but its the beginning of new Pakistan. People are more aware now , one representative now cannot take biased decisions because country is producing heroes like Kamran Faisal and Ch.Zulfiqar . People are hope about this new change .

The war on terror , the war in which "we put our neck on the line"  the most disastrous mistake and we paid the price but still United States is now changing his point of view about Pakistan ,the Pentagon has realized that the cheque signing policy will not work with Pakistan with their down fall economy , there is need of Nuclear deal with Pakistan .Pakistan is now demanding the access to international markets .

The political background has changed in the 18th amendment ,there was of transference of power from Federal Government to Provinces which will implement those powers by districts .Now the one man show is almost over .Lets hope this election brings more peace and prosperity in our country.

Pakistan is a Beautiful country with worth visiting places like beautiful lakes, cultural heritage,  sky touching peaks and world’s longest glaciers outside the north and south poll. Despite of the fact that Pakistan Is facing a lot of problems of law and order due to war on terror,  about one million tourist visited Pakistan in 2012. Things are changed now,  law and order situation is getting better enough to attract number of tourists from all around the world.

In Pakistan only 4.8 percent of the land is covered by the Forests. Although it is far less than the standard for a country but still forests of Pakistan attract people because they are rich of wild life,  fruits, herbs and precious woods. Pakistan has some of the most beautiful lakes including saif ul malook, gurdar and lake mangla which are important for tourism. There are 60 small and large rivers. People visit them for hunting fish and boating. Northern Pakistan is host to three of the world's biggest and most spectacular mountain ranges, the Himalaya, the Karakorum and the Hindukush. Karakorum is also famous because it has longest glaciers of the world outside the north and south pole. In Pakistan mountains like K-2 and nanga parbat are present which are one of the world’s largest mountains visited by many tourists.

Pakistan does not only have corruption , load-shedding or terrorism But Pakistan has some of the most beautiful places of the world of which people see dreams to visit.
